Meet the Team

Steve has worked in construction recruitment for the past 21 years. He started working as a consultant for Censura, a construction arm of Insight Solutions, overseeing works for major clients and looking after customer relations. He then became a senior partner of Malham Construction Ltd where he was involved in the setup of the company introducing new payroll and recruiting systems that he designed and implemented himself.

In 2006 Steve decided to part ways with Malham and set up Barrett Contract Services Ltd with a new idea of how to recruit, putting more emphasis on meeting client and staffing financial needs. Within this he set up new ways in which a recruitment company can payroll staff and invested in training programs for temporary staffing that agencies had never been involved with before.

For the past 17 years he has managed hundreds of contracts and provided thousands of construction staff to many different disciplines of construction recruitment, being at the forefront of the industry implementing new ideas and training procedures for clients and sub contractors.

Natalie joined the team at Barrett Contract Services Ltd in Sept 2019. Natalie has worked for BCS for 4 years now supplying all manner of trades and labour.

Natalie specialises in Groundworks, civils, Painting and decorating and scaffolding. With an insane work effort and devotion to her clients. Natalie is a very good communicator and loves a good chin wag about construction give her a call.

Rachel has recently started with Barrett Contract Services in May 2023. Rachel instantly became and integral part of BCS in the way in which it operates and she up holds our company values of it being a friendly and fun place to work.

Rachel has come from a construction payroll background. Rachel specialises in contractor payroll whether it be PAYE, CIS or Ltd.

Rachel deals with all payroll and liaises with the temporary staff. She has a fantastic and professional phone manner and has been a great addition to the team.
